Créations In Vivo theater company presents “Vaches, The Musical”, Saturday February 11 at 7 p.m. at the Octave theater with English surtitles. This “Franco-Ontarian Broadway” obtained the Coup de coeur during Contact Ontarois in 2020.
… in the context of the 1998 ice storm… “Very freely inspired by a true story, Vaches, The Musical tells how Jean, a farmer, will try to save hundreds of cows from death despite the obstacles. It is also the story of his daughter, Julie, who wants to leave her childhood village to start a new life in Toronto, of a mayor thirsty for money, of soldiers who land and of this ice storm that freezes the heart of inhabitants.
Both funny and touching, VACHES, the musical speaks (and sings!) with humor and sincerity about the resilience of Franco-Ontarians in the face of hardship. »
