With immense pleasure and gratitude, we share here the project of Jonathan Davies, “Petite Suite pour Piano et Kingston,” which breathes new life into the pianos of our city and tells their stories. A beautiful collection of musical history in 3 stages, starting with the Heintzman piano at the Centre culturel Frontenac. This piano belonged to pianist and piano teacher Ann Savage, whose son, Tom Savage, donated it to the center upon his mother’s passing. We will always be grateful to them.

A big thank you to our artist Jonathan Davies for these inspiring projects, his commitment to the community, and for his talent as a pianist that he shares with us!

Here’s part one of “Petite suite pour piano et Kingston,” featuring the beautiful Heintzman at the Centre culturel Frontenac. The piano previously belonged to Ann Savage, who was a local piano teacher and organist. Ann’s son Doug Savage later donated it to the CCF in hopes that it would be enjoyed in the community.

It was a real pleasure performing Gershwin’s three preludes for piano both at the old CCF location on Dalton and then a few months later at the new centre on Wheathill Street. Link to video in bio.
