On Sunday, September 20, 2026, we had the pleasure of connecting with the public at Confederation Park during the Kingston Intercultural Arts Festival. ☀️🎶
For this occasion, we were especially pleased to present Chris Giguère, a local artist, as part of our 2026–2027 artistic season. His performance offered the audience a wonderful musical experience in a charming outdoor setting.
The morning had started under cloudy skies, but the clouds did not keep the sun from making an appearance. By the time Chris took the stage, the weather had cleared, and a wonderful atmosphere had settled over the park. The audience was able to fully enjoy the performance while discovering the talent of an artist from our community.
Chris’s performance was also a meaningful example of the bilingual reality experienced by Franco-Ontarian women and men. In a community where French and English come together in everyday life, the arts and music provide a valuable space to celebrate the French language, build connections, and engage audiences from different cultures and communities.
We would also like to extend our warmest thanks to the City of Kingston for organizing the Kingston Intercultural Arts Festival. A heartfelt thank you as well to our wonderful volunteers, whose help and dedication contributed to the success of the event. 💙
We are grateful to everyone who came out to share this moment with us and who continues to support local artists and our cultural community.
