Thank you to everyone for this wonderful Family Day!
Come rain or shine, the community came together at the Centre culturel Frontenac to celebrate this very special day. A huge thank you to the talented storyteller Mafane, who braved the storm to travel to Kingston and take us on a journey through marvelous tales from all corners of the world. Her presence brought a wonderful energy to the event, and her captivating stories enchanted both young and old.
She led storytelling workshops that delighted the audience. These creative moments were followed by a painting workshop, led by art teacher Matthew Poirier. It was a great opportunity to discover or rediscover the joy of creating together as a family. Children and adults alike had a lot of fun expressing themselves artistically, and to add to the warm atmosphere, the rhythmic Sega music from Réunion Island set the tone during the art workshop, adding an extra festive touch. It was a true moment of sharing and togetherness that will be remembered for a long time!
A big thank you also to our audience, who turned out in large numbers despite the bad weather, as well as to all the volunteers, partners, and contributors who made this event possible. It was a beautiful francophone celebration, full of laughter, discoveries, and shared moments of joy. We are already looking forward to seeing you at our next events!
We express our deepest gratitude to our valued partners who supported this wonderful celebration ACFOMI, Family and Children’s Services of Frontenac, Lennox and Addington, Les Tréteaux de Kingston, Conseil des écoles publiques de l’Est de l’Ontario, Conseil des écoles catholiques du Centre-Est and the Réseau de soutien à l’immigration francophone de l’Est de l’Ontario.
