On October 19, the Centre culturel Frontenac had the pleasure of participating in the 28th edition of the Franco-Foire organized by ACFOMI. During the fair, we had the opportunity to meet many people interested in Francophone culture in Kingston. Also, during this wonderful event, we were lucky enough to watch a performance by the group Panache Eh!

Norman Guntensperger, with his ukulele and harmonica, accompanied by Nicci Rea with her guitar and dulcimer, played several songs, including “Frère Jacques,” “Pas capable de tirer ma vache,” and “Call Me Maybe” by Carly Rae Jepsen. With Lulu the rabbit and Albert Paca, the musicians entertained the crowd.

The children also had the chance to participate in the show! Various musical instruments were placed in front of the stage so the young ones could accompany Panache Eh! in their songs. The group also included many children in their performances during crowd participation segments, including solving math problems.

I really enjoyed the performance, even though I’m not part of the target audience. The artists are very talented with their instruments and play them as if it were second nature. Their experience as educators shines through in the audience participation segments with educational games. I would highly recommend bringing the family to their next show. It’s a unique experience and certainly memorable for the children!
